Domed emblems (or also domed stickers, resin badges) are made by applying a coat of resin on a printed sticker, which creates an impression of three dimensions. They are suitable mainly for advertising purposes, but due to their perfect fastness they are also used in exteriors to label various products, machinery, appliances and cars. Domed emblems are very elastic and abrasion-resistant, and they are also resistant to yellowing and fading due to UV light.
What do domed emblems look like?
Plastic domed emblems have a special transparent and flexible layer on their surface, which is firmly attached to the base. The layer is fully transparent without any coloring and it is approximately 2 mm high and rounded along the edges. Even though stickers with this surface are very flexible, they should be affixed on even surfaces as the high layer of resin causes higher straining of the material, which has a tendency to unstick on uneven surfaces. The surface of domed emblems is resistant to effects of the external environment, but it must not be subject to extreme mechanical straining, bending or breaking. Also, aggressive chemical agents should not be used to clean them.
